Said to be the lip of a huge dormant underwater volcano, Bermuda, situated 650 miles off the east coast of Africa, is Britain's oldest colony and is a picture of beauty and serenity. It is possible to get a direct flight from the UK with British Airways that lasts just over seven hours although these may not be overly frequent. The culture in Bermuda
The culture of Bermuda is somewhat mixed and unusual with smart dress being little more than a jacket with shorts, whilst bikinis and swimwear are banned more than 25 feet away from the water, keeping a relaxed yet conservative attitude. There are no all night parties here but there is a lively and fun nightlife and entertainment scene, most of which takes place either through the hotel complexes or in the main centres. It has become a very popular centre of trade as well because of it's tax advantages, this has enabled Bermuda to become a very affluent island.
