World renowned as the cultural capital of the world, exuding images of carefree dancing people, Brazil is a fabulous destinations for modern holidays with a very cultural and exciting twist. Located in Southern America is it not only the largest country in it's continent it is the fifth largest country in the world, giving the advantage to the tourist planning holidays in that there is an abundance of places to visit within the country. Holidays in Brazil
Brazil is a country of contrasts and this continues through to it's holidays, visitors can luxuriate in the five star hotels, shops and beaches in Rio de Janeiro. The more adventurous among us may like to spend some time backpacking, sleeping under the stars with nature for entertainment around the world famous Amazon; a stunning destination for ultimate adventure holidays. A particular favourite of visitors is Sao Paulo, which is also the business capital for Brazil, and a famous destination for conventions of which there are a range throughout the year. Brazil's Beaches are something not to be missed, world famous for white sands and bikini clad women, they are often the centre of many resorts and are alive with life waiting to be devoured by those on their holidays; particularly on the famous Copacabana.
Getting to Brazil
Most popular tourist resorts have a nearby airport and are relatively easy to get to from the airports. As with many South American countries direct flights are somewhat limited so flights tend to connect in another country and last anything between 10 and 20 hours depending on ground time. Air France and TAM are popular airlines for this journey and offer very attractive prices.
Brazil's Culture
As with many Southern American countries security is something to keep in mind when visiting on holidays but extra care and vigilance when in public areas will keep you and your party safe during your stay. Because Brazil is so diverse those on their holidays should be prepared to see very different sights, many lavish hotel complexes are only a mile or so from Favelas (shanty towns) which although fascinating are very unpredictable and not particularly safe, therefore visitors are advised to keep a distance. However the main areas a rich in exuberant people and culture and hold frequent street arties and celebrations which are known as the most extravagant and best in the world; a sight not to be missed.
